Here are the questions we are asked most often. Can't find yours? Email info@noralaine.com and we will reply within 1 to 2 business days.
Shipping and delivery
Is shipping free?
Yes. Every order within the United States ships free, even a single piece.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. For now we ship to US addresses only.
When will my order arrive?
We get your order ready within 1 to 4 business days, Monday to Friday. From order to your door, allow 2 to 4 weeks. Where you live and the time of year can change that, and so can carrier delays. See our shipping policy for more.
How can I track my order?
When your order ships, you will get an email with your tracking number and a tracking link. You can also follow it on our Track your order page. The first tracking update can take 24 to 48 hours to appear after dispatch.
My tracking says delivered, but I have no parcel.
Please check with others in your home and with your neighbors first. If it still hasn't turned up, email us straight away with your order number. We will help.
Why did part of my order arrive separately?
If you ordered several pieces, they may travel in separate parcels. You will receive tracking for each one.
Your order
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Email info@noralaine.com with your order number. After 24 hours your order may already be on its way to dispatch, and changes may no longer be possible.
Returns and refunds
What are your return terms?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Pieces should be unworn and unused, in their original condition and packaging, and the return must be approved by us before you send it. Gift cards and final sale pieces can't be returned. Read the full refund policy.
How do I return something?
Email info@noralaine.com with your order number and the reason for your return, plus photos if the piece is damaged. When your return is approved, we email you the return address and instructions. Please use a tracked shipping service.
Do I pay for return shipping?
For a change of mind or a size that doesn't suit, the return shipping cost is yours. If something arrives faulty or damaged, or you received the wrong item, we send a replacement free of charge.
Can I swap for another size or color?
We don't offer direct exchanges. Once your return is approved, send the original back and place a new order for the size or color you prefer.
Something arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, the item name, a short note on what is wrong and clear photos, including the outer packaging if it was damaged on the way. We send you a free replacement, and in most cases you can keep the original.
How long does a refund take?
When your return arrives and has been inspected, we refund your original payment method. It can take up to 7 business days to show on your account, depending on your bank.
Sizing and fit
What size should I choose?
Go with your usual size. Our pieces follow standard US women's sizing, from XS to XL, with some styles also in XXL. If you sit between two sizes, take the larger one for an easier fit.
Can you help me find my size?
Yes. On each product page, tap Find my fit beside the sizes. It begins with the size you normally wear. Our size guide lists bust, waist and hip measurements, and Fit and sizing on the product page shows the size worn in the photos where we have it.
Fibres and care
What are your pieces made from?
Australian merino and Mongolian cashmere, on their own or blended. Our merino is a fine 17.5 micron fibre from traceable, mulesing-free farms, and our cashmere is hand-combed and sorted to keep only fibre of 15.5 micron or finer. Each product page lists what the piece is made of under Fabric and details.
Are your fibres certified?
Our merino carries Woolmark, NATIVA, RWS and OEKO-TEX, and our cashmere carries The Good Cashmere Standard, WRAP and OEKO-TEX. Our collection pages explain what each one means.
Will it feel itchy?
Coarse fibres are what cause itch, and fine merino and cashmere feel soft against bare skin. If your skin is very sensitive, a thin layer underneath helps.
How should I wash my knits?
Less often than you would think. Merino resists odor, so airing it between wears is usually enough. When it needs a wash, use cool water, by hand or on a wool cycle, with a gentle wool wash. Press out the water without wringing, then dry it flat in the shade. Skip bleach and the tumble dryer.
How do I care for my coat?
Air it between wears and give it a light brush. Lined coats and jackets, or ones with trims, are best taken to a dry cleaner so they keep their shape.
My cashmere is pilling. Is that normal?
Some pilling in the first weeks is normal, mostly where the knit rubs. A cashmere comb takes it off, and it calms down once the loose fibres have worked their way out.
How should I store my knitwear?
Fold it instead of hanging it, so the shoulders hold their shape. Keep it clean in a drawer or a breathable bag, with a little cedar if moths worry you.
Payment
How can I pay?
We accept major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices. Checkout shows the options available to you.
Is it safe to pay on your site?
Yes. Payments go through our encrypted checkout, and your full card details are never seen or stored by us.
What currency are prices shown in?
Every price is in US dollars. Any sales tax is worked out at checkout, before you pay.
